Emma Humphreys

Emma Humphreys was a writer, campaigner and survivor of male violence who fought an historic struggle to overturn a murder conviction in 1995, supported by Justice for Women and other feminist campaigners. Read her powerful story on the Emma Humphreys Memorial Prize website.

A collection of Emma’s writings, The Map of My Life: The Story of Emma Humphreys, tells the remarkable story of Emma, whose struggle for justice left a legacy that continues today. It is available to purchase from the Emma Humphreys Memorial Prize, and all profits go towards the annual award to women activists and writers working to end male violence.
