Women’s History Talks – Historical Association Branches

The Oxford, Chichester and Buckinghamshire branches of the Historical Association have the following women’s history talks in September, October and February:

15 September 2011, 7.30pm
‘The Life of Emmeline Pankhurst after Partial franchisement for Women was Won, 1918-1928’
Professor June Purvis PhD, Professor of Women’s & Gender History, University of Portsmouth

19 October 2011, 7.30pm for AGM, 8pm for Talk
‘Renaissance Women and the Shakespearean Stage’ (Preceded by Buckinghamshire Branch Annual General Meeting at 7.30pm)
Dr. Clare McManus, Roehampton University

February 2012, 4 pm Date and Venue to be Confirmed
‘Queen Elizabeth I and the English Succession’ (Title of Talk to be Confirmed)
Dr Alex Gajda, Jesus College, Oxford
