Support the campaign for a statue of Mary Wollstonecraft

Mary Wollstonecraft (1759-1797), remembered as a foremother of feminism, was a remarkable Londoner and international citizen, and deserves a proper memorial. Newington Green, in London, where she lived as a young woman and began to see the injustices of the world through political eyes, is the obvious place. Newington Green Action Group, a neighbourhood association with a substantial track record, proposes to raise a statue in her honour.
